Amber Rose And Wiz Khalifa Divorce With Dignity

Oct 20, 2016 | Divorce Process

Amber Rose and Wiz Khalifa are in the news again, this time for the way they have done their “divorce with dignity.”

Amber is a model, actress, fashion designer, and as of July 2016, a talk show host. She married Wiz Khalifa, a rapper, songwriter and actor in July 2013. They have a son, Sebastian Taylor Thomaz, now three years old. But after a little more than a year, Amber filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences.

Recently, the divorce was finalized, and it’s being said that it is one of the most amicable divorces in the entertainment industry. According to reports, the couple decided to do it this way for the sake of their son. Amber and Wiz are currently sharing legal and physical custody of Sebastian, and have managed to continue to be friends as well as co-parents. One fan posted a comment saying, “The rest of Hollywood should take a page from Amber’s, ‘how to divorce with dignity’ playbook!” When the divorce was finalized, the couple had a celebration and Amber tweeted, “Too much fun with my Ex hubby last night & no we didn’t celebrate our divorce we celebrated our love 4 each other cuz that never goes away.”

It seems we are hearing more and more about celebrities “divorcing with dignity,” and I believe it reflects the trend of people ending their marriages with dignity, honoring the love the brought them together.  People are catching on to how much better it is to let go of the arguments and hurts in order to move forward in a positive way for the sake of the children, and with good effects for themselves as well.

The divorce facilitators who are part of the Divorce with Dignity network are advocates for this philosophy. With so many benefits for the entire family, it makes sense to end amicably if at all possible. By choosing to divorce in this way, you save time, money, sanity and preserve your dignity.

Divorce With Dignity was founded to help people get through the divorce process in a non-litigated, cooperative and holistic manner. We strive to help people avoid the high costs (emotional as well as financial) of a contentious, adversarial process through divorce court. We can assist them to work out a negotiated divorce agreement where the couple makes the decisions that will affect them and their children for years to come, instead of leaving it up to attorneys to argue about or a judge to decide. Non-litigated, peaceful divorce gives them more control, more privacy, and sets the groundwork for the possibility of a cooperative relationship in the future.
