My divorce back in the early 80′s was very difficult and caused the standard of living for my family to drop considerably. As my children finished college, I decided that I wanted to help people going through a divorce and provide a safe place for them to do so. So in 1995, I opened the first Divorce with Dignity office in Alameda, California and since then have helped thousands of people obtain an amicable divorce.
I took a year off from June of 2008 through mid-July 2009, to start the national expansion of Divorce with Dignity to afford more people the opportunity to achieve a peaceful resolution to a very difficult situation. I am now back in Alameda County to personally help you through your process. We also have providers in most of the Bay Area counties and are expanding as we go–so please check out the other providers if Alameda county is not convenient. Our providers are all divorce specialists and meet the requirements of their state; they are either paralegals, attorneys or legal documents assistants (LDA’s which is a California requirement).
I am a legal document assistant registered with Alameda County and will provide you with all the support you need to get through your divorce. We provide two main services: divorce planning and facilitation (coaching) if you’re just not sure of what you want, or assistance with all the legal documents so you achieve a divorce that meets your needs. If you need additional support, we have quality referrals to family law attorneys, mediators, therapists, coaches and other sources. We want this to be a holistic process for you, and our mission is to help you achieve a divorce that is fair, easy and affordable so that you can part as amicably as possible. We know and understand what you are going through–it is not easy, but we will do everything we can to help you and your children through this process so you can retain your dignity and self respect.
